Psychologist for Robina
ADHD, anxiety and perinatal support by telehealth, Walk & Talk or in person
How Robina clients usually see us
Satya Psychology does not have a clinic in Robina. Our consulting room is at The Lavarack Rooms in Nobby Beach, roughly 9 km east, and most Robina clients see us by telehealth, on a Walk & Talk at Burleigh Heads, or in person on a Friday. That means no fixed clinic trip each week unless you want one.
We support adults, teens and couples with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, perinatal concerns and relationships. Medicare rebates apply to eligible psychology sessions.
Telehealth. The most common choice from Robina. Sessions run by video from home, the car or a private room at work, which removes the drive and the parking. Mirinda, Natalie and Maddison all offer telehealth.
Walk & Talk at Burleigh Heads. The closest walking location to Robina, about 15 minutes by car. Mirinda Smith, our founding psychologist, walks at Burleigh Heads.
In person at The Lavarack Rooms, Nobby Beach. Mirinda sees clients in person on Fridays, 9am to 4pm. Expect around 15 to 20 minutes' drive from Robina depending on traffic.
Therapy without the weekly drive
Most Robina clients start with telehealth. Walk & Talk at Burleigh Heads and Friday sessions in Nobby Beach are there when you want them.
Some of the best breakthroughs happen when you’re moving. Walking side-by-side can support nervous system regulation, ease tension and help conversation flow more naturally, often feeling less confronting than sitting face-to-face.
Walk & Talk Therapy
Life doesn’t stop, so your therapy shouldn’t have to either. Whether you’re at home, between meetings or sitting in the car, online sessions make it simple to prioritise your mental health wherever you are.
Telehealth
Prefer to meet face-to-face? Our warm, welcoming space gives you room to slow down, breathe and feel genuinely supported in a traditional therapy setting.
In Person
Sessions with our Counsellor Isabelle come with an added bonus — her certified therapy dog, Reuben. Therapy dogs can help build a sense of calm, emotional safety and trust throughout the session.
Dog Assisted Walk & Talk
ADHD and neurodiversity support
ADHD is one of the most common reasons people book with us, and you do not need a formal diagnosis to start. Therapy can help with:
time blindness, procrastination and the cycle of last-minute panic
overwhelm when tasks, messages and household admin pile up
emotional intensity, rejection sensitivity and shutdown
the shame many adults carry after years of being called lazy or disorganised
working out whether a formal assessment is worth pursuing
Psychologists do not prescribe medication. If a formal assessment makes sense for you, we can talk through what is involved and how to raise it with your GP.
Maddison Weinert, Provisional Psychologist, works from a neurodiversity-affirming position and has lived experience of ADHD. She focuses on ADHD, anxiety, identity, the mental load of everyday life, women's mental health and the perinatal period, and sees Gold Coast clients by telehealth. Her sessions are $140 and need no referral.
Mirinda Smith, Founder and Psychologist, also lists ADHD among her core areas, alongside anxiety, depression, trauma and postpartum concerns. Her sessions attract a Medicare rebate with a GP plan.
Telehealth: what to expect
Find a space where you will not be overheard. Plenty of clients use a parked car.
Sessions follow the same structure as in-person therapy, and you can move to in-person or Walk & Talk later.
Other areas we support
Anxiety and depression, using CBT, ACT and DBT
Trauma and nervous system regulation
Perinatal and postpartum support
Couples therapy with Mirinda, by telehealth or in person

For many people, yes. Telehealth is widely used for common concerns such as anxiety and depression, and Medicare rebates apply to it in the same way. It is not the right fit for everyone, and we will tell you if we think another format would serve you better.

Yes, we work with teens.

We are not a crisis service. Call 000 in an emergency or Lifeline on 13 11 14 for 24-hour support.
Questions from Robina clients
-
Only if you want a Medicare rebate. Sessions with Mirinda can be rebated with a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP. Sessions with a provisional psychologist are $140 and need no referral.
-
No, a formal diagnosis isn’t required to start exploring ADHD-related traits in therapy.
Many women discover later in life that ongoing overwhelm, emotional intensity or difficulties with executive functioning may be connected to ADHD. Therapy can help you understand these patterns, build practical tools and decide whether a formal assessment feels right for you.
-
This depends on your individual goals and circumstances. Many clients start with weekly or fortnightly sessions before adjusting the pace as they build momentum.
Therapy is a collaborative process — together we find a rhythm that feels supportive and sustainable, both emotionally and financially.
